Bury me, my love: Serious game refugees

Bury me, my Love is a Text Messaging Adventure game about Nour, a Syrian migrant trying to find her way to Europe. Her husband Majd, who remains behind in Syria, communicates with Nour via a text message app and advises her as best as possible so that she reaches her destination safely.

'Bury me, my love' is a Syrian parting phrase that means something like: "Be careful, don't think of dying before I do." This sentence takes on a deeper meaning when Majd says it to his wife Nour as she undertakes her dangerous journey to Europe.

You and your virtual counterpart Majd can interact with Nour and follow her journey, just as if you were chatting with her on WhatsApp. You text each other and exchange emojis, photos and selfies, relevant links...

You will also be asked to make important choices. Nour will regularly seek help and ask for your advice. The happy course of her journey is in your hands. However, she will not systematically do what you say, and sometimes she will also hide things from you. You'll have to deal with that, because she's the one risking her life.
