Red: Historical youth novel


As historian and author, I found it useful to my book 'Red' (Manteau, 2010) to propose. It is a historical children's book (for young people 14 +), an adventure story set during the French Revolution (late 18th century) in Paris.

A flavoring: The Life of Toine, apprentice painter with his father, by the French Revolution ransacked. In Paris a few months, boils of hatred, betrayal and murder. The revolution is not a small bait pieces of your skin, it eats away at once your whole heart. When the national guard at home Toines a mysterious painting from the palace discovered, his father arrested. And Pauline, the daughter of a nobleman and the great love of Toine, is in danger. Toine begins a quest. But nothing is certain, who can he trust? What role Earl Delacroix, Père Hubert, the fortune-teller, the artist David ... and even his friends Alexandre and Quentin? Meanwhile, the knife of the guillotine falls down endlessly, and even cut deep into the conscience of Toine ...
