The Great War through different eyes


Do you wonder how they tell the story of the First World War in other countries? Would they pay more attention to this great war in the Balkans, the place where it all started? How do the Italians view the battle they waged? It took them more than a year to decide who would be their enemy...

These are questions that concern history teacher Eva Catteeuw. She goes on research in North Macedonia and Sicily with students from the Atheneum Lier and receives surprising answers. With support from the Erasmus+ programme.
