Make up a fantasy animal that consists of two existing animals

This assignment can be related to the poem Lijmen by Joke van Leeuwen.

The students are briefly introduced to hybrid animals and then come up with their own. They choose at least two animals, combine their names into a new name and think about the habitat and nutrition of the new animal. Then they start working with pencils and paper.
