The political landscape in Belgium: Teaching package

The BELvue has developed a visual learning tool and a series of assignments that explain:

  • how Belgian political institutions work;
  • which different French-speaking and Dutch-speaking political parties there are;
  • how the parliamentary work is done (the agenda of the parliamentarians, their salaries, the path of a law ...

These learning resources were designed in preparation for the Reporters of Democracy workshop. They can also be used outside the workshop, as part of a lesson.

The booklet is available in two versions:

  1. extended version: This version is especially suitable from secondary school and for students with strong reading skills
  2. short version: This version contains less text and the various concepts are explained in a more accessible way

To use these documents, assignments have been designed for your students.
