Learning Enhancement Model (LE model): A learning-promoting educational model

The learner takes a central position in the LE model. The learner has five components that directly or indirectly influence the learning process. These components are ownership , the teacher as a coach , assessment , authentic contexts , and social interaction and cooperative learning . On the one hand, these elements contribute to the three basic needs, namely autonomy, involvement and competence (Deci and Ryan, 2000) and thus reinforce the motivation for the learning process. On the other hand, they strengthen the learner's self-regulating skills that form the basis for an attitude towards lifelong learning (Cornford, 2002).
