Election in the classroom: Toolbox
Local, national and European elections are ideal times to let children experience what elections and democracy mean at school.
This work set contains two series of twelve posters in A3 format that you can hang in the classroom or in the school, just like in real elections. The very diverse candidates try to convince you with their slogan to choose them as the new teacher or master of the class.
What do you think is important? Children reflect on themselves, learn to express their thoughts and listen to others.
There are different working methods for each age group:
- for groups from 5 years there is a game format,
- slightly older children discover the public and the secret ballot,
- the oldest group experiences a debate.
