Workshop Illustration

During an Illustrating Workshop, we choose 1 or more passages from a book that we convert into a striking illustration.

We start with a brainstorm and choose the passage from the book. Which characters, landscapes, environments, feelings, colours, relationships, … appear in the story? How can we make the story stronger by adding an image? Which styles are possible? …

The teacher then discusses some basic drawing techniques. Through playful and surprising assignments you will become acquainted with different techniques to create an image.
Finally, each participant will experiment. Everyone creates their own unique image based on the book. Together these drawings form a story all their own!
