WAKOSTA?!: Experience course East Flanders

The WAKOSTA?! empathy course allows young people from the age of sixteen to find out what living on their own two feet costs and what the impact of their choices is on the monthly budget. Young people actively and meaningfully get to work in this course. The empathy course is part of the economic and financial competences attainment targets.

Themes that are addressed within the course are income, living, energy, health, household, relaxation and gambling.

Pupils rent a house, go to the doctor and calculate what they spend on food and drink. All costs are entered on a budget plan.

Who is wise with the money? Who has money left for unforeseen circumstances?
