Motivating people with autism: Lecture

Every day the day is filled with many activities. Often with things we like and enjoy doing, but sometimes with a lot of less interesting things. Because you have to. Or not? Why do people actually do what they do? Where do we get our motivation from? During this lecture you will get a clear look at self-determination theory (Deci & Ryan, 2000) and we will of course immediately explain what this means for people with autism. Because motivational difficulties and resistance sometimes also arise in children, young people or adults with autism and (borderline) normal giftedness.

This lecture is aimed at caregivers of children, young people and adults with autism with (edge) normal giftedness.
