Workshop: Visual theater based on The Theater of The Oppressed

During the Sculpture Theater workshop we create living statues together. One is the sculptor, the other the clay. Or the painter and the canvas, the photographer and the photo.
In this workshop we are allowed to touch each other, we work together, we are quiet and concentrated...

By working with images we create a safe way to express feelings and thoughts. We literally control the situation. This is a theater workshop that sets a lot in motion.

This workshop is inspired by “Theatre of the Oppressed” by Augusto Boal.
Boal gave a voice to the oppressed against those in power through various theater techniques.
