Dutch for advanced speakers of other languages: MOOC
The course consists of a MOOC, which students follow independently, and detailed speaking and writing tasks that can be used by the teacher in physical or online lessons.
- The online course is freely accessible to everyone, wherever and whenever.
- It is built around twelve lectures from the University of the Netherlands and Flanders.
- Attention is paid to both Dutch-Dutch and Belgian-Dutch.
- Students practice listening and understanding skills and vocabulary in the online learning environment and gain insight into language variation based on concrete examples from the lectures.
- Teachers can offer this course as a self-study package (e-learning) or supplement it with online or physical lectures (blended learning).
Dutch for advanced speakers of other languages was developed with the support of the Nederlandse Taalunie by four teachers N/A: Sofie Royeaerd (Masaryk University Brno), Truus De Wilde (Freie Universität Berlin), Christine Sas (University College London) and Esther Ham (Indiana University Bloomington) .
