The digital exhibition Along pilgrim roads to Scherpenheuvel on Erfgoedplus shows historical photos and souvenirs of the pilgrimage to Scherpenheuvel and (subtitled) films with testimonials from pilgrims (oral history). The pilgrimage to Scherpenheuvel has existed for more than 700 years.
The walking routes have different starting points:
- De Gulden Maene, Sint-Jan Berchmansstraat 24, 3290 Diest (8 km);
- VTC de Mixx, Asbroek 1H, 2230 Herselt (13 km);
- Brasserie De Rietgors, Attenhovenstraat 207, 3404 Landen (40 km);
- Damien Museum, Pater Damienstraat 37, 3120 Tremelo (33 km).
You can connect to the routes from the following districts: Aarschot (Wolfsdonk, Gelrode, Aarschot, Rillaar); Scherpenheuvel-Zichem (Testelt, Schoonderbuken); Countries (Attenhoven; The Netherlands); Linter (Orsmaal, Melkwezer, Drieslinter); Kortenaken (Ransberg, Miskom, Waanrode); Bekkevoort (Assent); Tremolo; Rotselaar (Werchter) and Begijnendijk (Betekom).
