On the site you will find a free tool that helps to estimate the CEFR level of texts that you want to present to the students. This way you prevent a text from being too difficult or too easy for your students.

You paste at least ten sentences from the text into the tool and you get an indication of the level (A1, A2, B1 ... ).

Note: the website itself doesn't give much explanation about the criteria used, other than that it's only about technical readability.
