Downsyndroom onder de aandacht op school
Breng je dit onderwerp graag eens aan bod in de klas? De Wereld Downsyndroom Dag op 21 maart is daar een mooie gelegenheid voor. Waarom net die dag? Wel, mensen met het downsyndroom hebben hun 21e chromosoom 3 keer. Dat is een erfelijke afwijking.

Downsyndroom Vlaanderen roept alle scholen en gezinnen op om die dag twee verschillende sokken te dragen. Zo willen ze op een ludieke manier aandacht vragen voor de talenten en mogelijkheden die mensen met Down hebben.
